TO BE COMPLETED BY THE MUNICIPALITY. This text describes the site as it is today. If in the future statistical systems or third-party content are activated, the text must be updated and a consent collection banner will need to be introduced, which is not necessary today.
In brief
This site does not use profiling or advertising cookies. Instead, it uses Google Analytics, a statistical service provided by Google, to know how many people visit it and which pages they consult. The data is used to improve the site and is not used for commercial purposes.
Below you will find which cookies are installed, how long they last, and how to prevent them from being saved.
What are cookies
Cookies are small files that a site can save on the device of those who visit it. They are used to remember information between pages. Similar technologies — such as the browser's local storage — serve the same function.
The Data Protection Authority distinguishes between technical cookies, necessary for the functioning of the site and installable without consent, and profiling cookies, which require prior and specific consent.
What this site uses
Browser local storage for accessibility preferences
The accessibility tools of the site — text enlargement, high contrast, highly readable font, reading guide — save choices in the browser's local storage, so they remain active when moving from one page to another and on the next visit.
These are technical data, stored only on the device of the user: they are not transmitted to the server or to third parties, and do not allow anyone to be identified.
They can be deleted by clearing the browser's browsing data, or by pressing the reset command in the accessibility panel.
A technical cookie for featured places
The homepage shows some places randomly chosen from all those published. To keep them the same while you navigate — and not change every time you go back — the site saves a random number in a cookie:
fr_estrazione — contains only a number, used to repeat the same extraction; it is deleted from the browser upon closing.
It is a technical cookie, necessary for the functioning of what you are viewing: it does not identify anyone, is not read by third parties, and does not allow you to be recognized on the next visit, because at that point it no longer exists. For these cookies, the guidelines of the Authority do not require consent.
Visit statistics: Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
It is used to collect, in aggregate form, information on how the site is used: how many visits it receives, which pages are most consulted, from which type of device it is navigated, from which approximate geographical area.
Google Analytics 4 does not record the full network address of the visitor. The site has also disabled any use of data for advertising and personalization purposes: Google cannot use it to show ads.
The installed cookies are:
_ga — distinguishes one visitor from another anonymously; lasts for two years;
_ga_[identifier] — retains the state of the current visit; lasts for two years.
The data may be processed by Google also in the United States. The transfer occurs within the framework of the EU-US data protection framework (Data Privacy Framework), to which Google adheres.
Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com\/privacy.
How to prevent data collection. You can block these cookies from the browser settings, or install the Google add-on that disables data collection on all sites: tools.google.com\/dlpage\/gaoptout. The site will continue to function normally.
Map images
The maps use images from OpenStreetMap, requested directly by the browser from the servers of the OpenStreetMap Foundation. That request does not involve the installation of cookies, but makes the visitor's network address known to OpenStreetMap, as with any image loaded from another site. Its privacy policy is on osmfoundation.org\/wiki\/Privacy_Policy.
What this site does not do
For clarity:
- does not incorporate maps, videos, or content from external platforms, which would install their own cookies as soon as the page is opened;
- does not use social network sharing buttons;
- does not advertise and does not share data with third parties.
Even the fonts and accessibility tools are hosted on our servers, and not called from external services.
How to manage preferences
Each browser allows you to delete data saved by sites and to prevent future saving. Instructions can be found in the browser settings, under the section related to privacy or browsing data.
By completely preventing saving, accessibility preferences will need to be reset on each visit: the site will continue to function, but each time from the beginning.
Contacts

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
