What data do we collect and why

Consultation of the site

The simple consultation of the pages does not require providing any personal data. The IT systems record, as is the case for any website, some technical data necessary for operation and security: network address, date and time of the request, requested page, type of browser. These data are not used to identify visitors and are kept for [number] days.

Legal basis: legitimate interest in the operation and security of the service (art. 6, par. 1, lett. f of the Regulation).

Reporting an architectural barrier

Those who report an obstacle along the path provide us with an email address, optionally a name, a description of the obstacle, and, if they choose to indicate it, the geographical location. They can attach a photograph.

This data is used to verify the report, to ask for clarifications when necessary, and to inform the person of the outcome. The email address does not appear on the site and is not communicated to third parties.

Once verified, only the description of the obstacle, the type, the location, and any photograph will be publicly displayed on the map. Those who send a photograph are invited not to include recognizable people.

Legal basis: consent of the data subject, collected at the time of submission

(art. 6, par. 1, lett. a). Consent can be revoked at any time by writing to the contacts indicated above; the revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing already carried out.

Retention: reports are kept for [number] years from closure, as they document the state of the path over time and the actions taken.

Optional registration

Those who choose to create a personal account provide us with an email address and, optionally, first and last name. These are used to allow recognition and to keep track of their reports. Registration is not necessary to use the site or to submit a report.

Legal basis: execution of a service requested by the data subject

(art. 6, par. 1, lett. b).

Who we share data with

The data is not disseminated or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

They may be accessed, within the limits of their respective competencies:

  • the authorized personnel of the Municipality;
  • the representatives of the municipalities participating in the project — Cannole, Giuggianello, Giurdignano, Martano, Palmariggi, and Tricase — limited to the reports concerning their territory;
  • the provider responsible for the technical maintenance of the site, appointed as data processor pursuant to art. 28 of the Regulation;
  • 365 Giorni in Puglia srls, which hosts the site on servers located in Italy.

External services used

The site maps use cartographic images from OpenStreetMap.

When a page with a map is opened, the browser requests these images directly from the servers of OpenStreetMap Foundation, which may then become aware of the visitor's network address. The information from

OpenStreetMap is available at osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.

The audio guides and descriptions of places are generated with voice synthesis and language processing services provided by [name of providers]. These services process the editorial texts of the site, not the data of visitors.

For visit statistics, the site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, which collects aggregated data on the use of the site through cookies. The use of data for advertising and personalization purposes is disabled. Details, installed cookies, and how to prevent their collection are described in the cookie policy.

The site does not use profiling or advertising systems.

Transfer outside the European Union

The data collected by Google Analytics may be processed by Google also in the United States. The transfer occurs within the framework of the EU-US data protection framework (Data Privacy Framework), to which Google adheres. [Indicate if the other providers mentioned above involve a transfer of data to third countries and on what legal basis it occurs.]

Your rights

You can at any time request the controller access to your data, their rectification or deletion, limitation of processing, and object to processing. You can also request to receive the data you provided in a format readable by an automatic device.

Requests should be addressed to the contacts indicated at the beginning of this information. The controller responds within a month.

If you believe that the processing violates the Regulation, you can file a complaint with the

Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it) or appeal to the judicial authority.
