The Church of the Immaculate in Martano, also known as the Church of the Congregation because it is the historic seat of the homonymous brotherhood, overlooks Largo Santa Sofia. Its Baroque façade, completed in 1664 and revised in 1870, develops over two orders marked by tall pilasters with Ionic and Doric capitals.

In the broken tympanum of the portal, the statue of the Immaculate welcomes those approaching the church, while in the upper register, a central window is flanked by the statues of Saint Peter and Saint Paul.

Inside, the single nave houses a sumptuous Baroque main altar, adorned with gold and stuccoes, dominated by the large canvas of the Immaculate Conception. On the ceiling, decorated with stuccoes and floral motifs, an inscription recalls the invocation "Virgo Immaculata, refugium peccatorum."
