The story translated into Italian Sign Language by an interpreter.

The Church of the Madonna della Palma stands in Palmariggi on the same site where, already in the sixteenth century, there was an ancient Greek-rite church with three naves, demolished in 1751. The reconstruction, started that same year, was completed in 1755.

The façade, entirely made of Lecce stone, is marked by four smooth pilasters and topped by a pediment; a single door, surmounted by a large window, is flanked by two niches with paintings.

Inside, the only rectangular nave extends into four bays, covered by ribbed vaults with light brown stucco, while a semi-dome vault opens over the presbytery. Natural light filters through the side windows and the yellow stained glass of the metal frames with a cross pattern.

The bell tower, with two bells, is located at the back of the church.
