The story translated into Italian Sign Language by an interpreter.

The Parco dei Guerrieri is located in Vaste, the small municipality of Salento identified with the ancient Basta, one of the most important Messapian centers in the area. The site preserves sections of the mighty city walls from the fourth and second centuries BC, once extending over 3 kilometers. The archaeological park, nearly 20 hectares open as an outdoor museum, houses the remains of the Messapian settlement: foundations of houses, sections of the walls, and numerous tombs with their funerary goods, while panels along the path narrate the phases of the excavations.

The heart of the park is the necropolis carved into the rock, flanked by a Paleochristian crypt and a reconstructed siege tower, near the two modern statues that give the site its name. Among the burials, the Tomb of the Knight stands out, with an aristocratic bronze and ceramic grave goods, and the Tomb of the Athlete, linked to the world of sports competitions.
